Formation of water from hydrogen and oxygen
One recorded run of this reaction, with the species it involved, the conditions the source stated and the evidence behind it.
Conditions
Requires ignition (spark or flame); highly exothermic.

Procedure
From the curated record
Two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule combine to form two molecules of water. The H–H and O=O bonds break and four new O–H bonds form. The real reaction proceeds through a radical chain mechanism; the animation shows only the overall change in connectivity.
Safety notes on this record
- Hydrogen–oxygen mixtures are explosive. This record is for study only.
The source
Curated textbook reaction (fixture record, not from an ingested dataset).
How to read this record
This is one experiment, not a rule. It says that on one occasion these species were combined under these conditions and this came out. It does not say the reaction will give the same result on your substrate, and nothing on the page has been generalised into a claim that it would.
The pathway is a separate question, kept on separate pages. A mechanism here is the canonical arrow pushing for a class, run on real structures and labelled rule-derived. It is not evidence, and this record is not a mechanism.
